Only Good Simple is my expression of love for food, health and well-being. Endlessly inspired by the possibilities of food, I could happily spend hours experimenting in the kitchen, flipping through a cookbook or filling my basket at the farmer’s market. I find that food invites a unique ability to connect, build community, and express creativity. It has the potential to provide an all encompassing form of nourishment—enriching the mind, body and spirit. Learning how to cook, collaborate and appreciate time in the kitchen can be a deeply fulfilling, human act. On a broader level, food has the ability to support the health and regeneration of the planet through soil and biodiversity.
Based in New York City, this is a space where I hope to share recipes, ideas and stories that make the healing capacities of food, and other realms of wellness, feel accessible and exciting. There seems to be a complexity, or perhaps an illusion of complexity, in everything we do, see and feel. I approach food as a reminder of the simplicity that is always available. From the intuitive act of listening to what the body wants to eat, the meditative ritual of preparing a meal, to the awareness cultivated by experiencing and savoring a dish, food offers an opportunity to ground in the fullness, and the potential goodness, of the present moment.
